Even works in small places. Here's my man cave

Hey Guys and Gals, if you are wondering if optishot works in small places well in my garage it does and I don't have a lot of room.  My garage is 19' by 21' and I have a 5x9' pool table in here along with chairs dart board, dresser, table, and cabinets to hold all my snowboarding stuff for the family and a bench with cabinets on either side for the kids to take their shoes off with shoe cabinets on either side plus two mini beer fridges.  The bench sits behind my custom made 9' by 9' screen which can handle real golf balls however I stick to the almost golf balls because I don't have room to set up excess netting and a real ball already put a hole in the ceiling and luckily didn't break the glass in my garage door or ceiling fan lights (Just had to test out the screen he he).

I'm pretty cheap when it comes to the smaller stuff so if you notice I used those cheap workout mats(Walmart special) 3 high to match the height of the optishot and glued them together.  I cut out two others to go around the optishot mat because sometimes when you have friend over and drinks are involved they miss and miss bad.  I had damage to the optishot plastic portion from several misshits and now they can miss all they want just as long as they use their own clubs ha ha ha.  The mats are really lite which makes it really easy to move and put away when not in use and also super wide for all stances.  I couldn't justify the cost of the actual golf mats. 

I don't have a motor for my screen but I just roll it up utilizing the dowling I had put in the bottom of the screen and it takes all of less than a minute to complete this task.  I hung my screen also using a metal dowling insert which sits on those hooks you use to hang your bikes in the garage, this works great.  My ceilings are 8.5' so my bud cut down a driver for everyone to use and it works great.  I have to navigate between two ceiling fans so unfortunately for my left have buddies they are SOL.

I just wish I only had the room for my pinball machine to fit.

I had problems with lighting so I added a 10 dollar light fixture which clamps onto the comode.  I use a 60 watt fluorescent bulb (One of those enery efficient coiled bulbs which uses only 13 watts of power) and direct the light so that the shadow of the ball is slightly pointing towards the sensors but almost directly over the ball.  Depending on light outside because of the the windowns in my garage, sometimes I have to put on the ceiling fan lights behind the sensors along with the pool table lights to improve the accuracy.  It took a bit of playing but I've got it down and very happy with this product.  I tried the true golf at the indoor range with my friends and the optishot in my opinion blows it away with the exception of the greens on true golf as it was easier to see the slopes and breaks without the need for the rolling balls.  This would be my only complaint is for them to work on the green graphics so that we could see better contour of the greens without the rolling ball aids.

So all in all I hope you like it, if you have room to swing a club, you should be able to fit it.
