My Garage Sim / Man Cave :)

Well as others have posted I have joined the optishot golf sim community.

I purchased the optishot package directly from Optishotgolf.com (came with octagon mat, driver, net and optishot)

Dell XPS PC with HDMI out graffic card & windows 8

Viewonic 3200 lumens HDMI / HD refurb projector

Proceeded to http://www.customdesigngolf.com/ where I ordered a 7'6" X 9'6" screen, net and frame setup. (Had to buy and cut 3/4 conduit to make the frame but this wasn't tough at all)

Then went to Target to get an auto return putting mat!

Voila golf ready!

What do you think?

Looks great, how did you find the lighting? Did you have to do something to help with the accuracy of the sensors?

I did a single 75watt energy saving bulb located 15 feet directly above the sensor pad does the trick.

I do however find that with the driver the most recent update sends every drive to the left when used with a ball. Take the ball away and my drives seem somewhat normal again. Not sure why but this only occurs with the driver.

Overall the system is fairly accurate. The putting and chipping are the two areas that I feel can never be accurately simulated in any virtual golf system but overall the system is great for practice after a long day of work.
