This is useful should your Internet connection be slow or restricted. You will need to copy the folder containing the course files (.sac) and a single file that tells the downloader whether or not these courses need to be downloaded. Then each time you re-install the software, copy both the folder and file back to where they should go.
- Make sure OptiShot is not running.
- Show Hidden Files and Folders.
- Windows® 7:
- Click Start » Control Panel
- In the upper right View By select Large or Small Icons
- Double-click the Folder Options icon.
- In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
- Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.
- Windows® Vista:
- Click Start » Control Panel
- On the left click Classic View
- Double-click the Folder Options icon.
- In the Folder Options window, click the View tab.
- Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.
- Windows® 8:
- Click the windows key on your keyboard.
- Type in Folder Options.
- Click on Settings in the Search Bar on the right.
- Click on the Folder Options listing to the left.
- Select Show hidden files and folders then click OK.
- Browse to the appropriate location below and copy the updatemanager.ini file to wherever you want to save it (if it has an icon, it should look like a notepad or piece of paper with a small gear on it). This is the file that tells the updater to download missing courses.

- Browse to the appropriate location below and copy the "data" folder which contains all of the course files to wherever you want to save it.
