Here are some details on my man cave with my Optishot.
Garage 20 x 24 with 12 foot ceilings
Screen 9 x 10 high impact screen, bought it from par2pro.com
Projector is a Panasonic high def, went this route so we can watch high def and blue ray movies when not golfing.
And a large beer fridge......
Here are some pics
Man, great job! looks like the image could be quite a bit larger versus the screen size. Looks awesome though!
Very nice work :) I wish I had that amount of space to build something like that!
Just wondering how far back you are teeing up from your screen. I have just gotten my Optishot (Merry Christmas) and am starting to set things up in my basement.
Thanks in advance.
Mike,
I'm hitting about 10 feet away from the screen.
Mike, I am building my own "impact screen" just to hit into not to project onto and I was going to use a king size sheet, backed by a tarp. Do you think this will stop a golf ball? And what are moving blankets?
Curious: Does the HD projector require a 16:10 or 16:9 layout vs. 4:3? I use a 4:3 (not HD projector) to display on entire screen. Works well but was considering the HD devices - and now I am hearing they require the 16:9 spread.
quick question. What kind of impact screen did you buy from par2pro? light? Did you also buy the enclosure kit from them? Thanks
R
Ryan,
Here is the link to the screen I bought.

Your garage has a lot of people in it. Where is your optishot? In the bathroom. I
Ha ha sorry for the wrong pic. I will upload some better ones this weekend.
Here are some updated photos of my Man Cave!
Rod,
Looks awesome, gave me some great ideas! What did you use for connecting the pipe together? Looks like 1" EMT, any problems with the cage?
Also how far are you from the screen?
Rich,
Yes I used 1" EMT pipe. Got it from Home Depot. Just used the EMT connectors to join the pipe together. It works ok, but a bit wobbly...... But does the job.
