Build your own stance platform for less than $50 with very few tools

On youtube is this video on building your own stance platform for less than $50 . It is very simple - go to Home Depot, Lowe's or another building material store and purchase a sheet of 1/4" thick 4' x 8' plywood and one 4' x 8' sheet of 2" thick insulation foam. Have them cut both in half. You will sandwich the foam between the plywood and make a cutout per the directions on the video and glue the three pieces together. You can then cover the top plywood with indoor/outdoor carpet and shim the golf simulator up with plywood, cardboard or whatever works until it is high enough above the stance platform. I built mine extremely cheap....
Got most of my materials from home depot...
I used (in this order); 1/4" hardboard (4'x8'), 1/2" Styrofoam insulation (2 - 4'x8'), 1/4" hardboard (4'x8'), 7/16" foam puzzle pieces (actually got from Walmart), indoor/outdoor carpet (picked up from carpet store). Glued it all together using spray adhesive
The Optishot sits on the bottom layer (I used a jigsaw to notch out before installing the carpet), you notch the foam (before you install the carpet) for the USB cable and it lines up perfect with the Optishot height.
I finished off my install with a 1x2 pine trim around the perimeter.
